This page will act as a comprehension resource for students and parents to quickly access weekly activities to do at home.
Students should get a minimum of 60 minutes of Moderate Activity a Day! They should also go outside for at least an hour as well! I will provide a variety of suggestions for the entire week but by all means, please modify when needed or add to these activities. |

Note to Parents & Students
Hello guys! I hope all of you are doing well and staying active! It is very important that you do at least 60 minutes of moderate to intense activity everyday to stay healthy! You should strive for this goal every day, however, feel free to do any of these activities that you want, as time permits. Note: Parents, these activities are meant as suggestions or enrichment for your child at this time and not as an "add on" to their regular learning. Please do not feel that you have to do them, if you are too busy with other matters! |
Activities without Technology:
1. Go for a 5 minute marathon power walk inside or outside, add in skipping, lunging, squats, ABC’s during the time frame to bring variety & break up the boredom
2. Quietly do stairs in your home, apartment or, noisily do stairs outdoors
3. Go for a walk with your family, take your pet dog or cat if you have one
4. Tapeball Games Find laundry basket(s) make a tape/sock ball of various sizes. Play tapeball hand hockey in a hallway, tapeball basketball, tape volleyball, tape handball or tape raquet ball against a wall, over a homemade net.
5. Do a random act of kindness; shovel off a neighbor, relative or Senior’s driveway, sidewalk or the snow around the sides or, foundation of their home to prevent water damage in Spring
6. Go Sledding - but make sure to Social Distance in appropriate areas!
7. Play Outside
8. Do some yard work for your parents!
9. Draw a Hop-Scotch outside - using chalk
10. Draw a 4 square and get a ball - we have done this with 2 squares
11. Go for a Bike Ride, Scooter Ride, or Run

Hello guys!
This week we are going to do at home challenges! Grande Prairie tends to be a little windy right now, so these are challenges that you can do inside your house! That being said, I would suggest that you spend as much time as possible outside. These challenges can also be done outside! Week 11
Hello Forbes Family,
I hope your all staying healthy and active out there! This week I am going to challenge you to do a triathlon! You can pick any 3 sports - hopefully one task with either a bike or scooter - and perform all of the activities for one hour! If you do not have a bike or scooter you can substitute any other sport! I have included sport specific training videos that you could use this week for your triathlon! Level 1: (K-4) Try to do 3 activities for 20 minutes each without stopping! For example, play Frisbee for 20 minutes, go for a bike ride for 20 minutes, and play tag in the backyard for 20 minutes. Level 2: (K-8) Try to do a each of the 3 activities for an hour each - for a total of 3 hours! At least 2 times this week! Level 3: (5-8) Try to do a each of the 3 activities for an hour each - for a total of 3 hours! 4 times this week! Level Extreme:Try to do a each of the 3 activities for an hour each - for a total of 3 hours! 6 times this week! Please send me a video to show me how you are planning to accomplish this task!!!!! As spring takes hold, I suggest going outside to play and staying active! Create your own Physical Education lesson plan! That's right, this week you are Mr. Allison and get to create your own gym class! Please show me how you would run an outside Phys.
