Evergreen Centre for Resource Excellence and Innovation
Our students were able to spend a day with Inside Education at Evergreen. Students learned about the forest, techniques used in the forest and in past years they learned about how industry works with the forest in an environmentally responsible manner. |

Peace Analytical Laboratories (PAL) offers one of the largest CALA accredited facilities in the Peace Area. The 5000 square foot facility is ideally located just north of Grande Prairie. This allows PAL to accomplish the mission goals through good communication and education between our PAL personnel and our valued clients. |
Activism Activity - School and Community Clean-up
Our students participated in 4 clean-ups on school grounds and through out Sexsmith.
They collected 62.5 lbs and then 82.5 lbs of garbage in the community clean-ups.

Deforestation project Canfor Students spent a school day with a community expert and visited the local Canfor logging plant. For their activism piece, they gave saplings to the students at St. Mary's. |

K-Cups/Tassimo Pods/ Battery Collection
Keurig K-Cups are not recyclable, Tassimo pods are incredibly hard to recycle and 1 normal AA battery saves 6 lives - Zinc Saves Lives. As an activism piece, these students brought over 1000 batteries to a Zinc Saves Lives drop-off spot.
